HISTORY : from the creation in 911 of the Dukedom of Normandy after the Viking's ("Northmen") invasion and the reign of William the Conqueror (enthroned King of England after his victory on Harold in Hastings in 1066) to the D-Day, on June 6th,1944, starting point of the liberation of Europe with the landing of the allied forces on the Normandy beaches, come and discover a wide page of France and World History.

"Earth": from the cattle breeding comes a wide range of dairy products: cream and butter (from Isigny Sainte Mere) and of course, cheeses (Camembert, Pont l'Eveque, Livarot, Neufchatel); from the Earth, apple growing makes delicious drinks from apple juice to cider, Calvados liqueur and Pommeau.
"Sea" with seafood freshly fished on our coast: shellfish, lobster, clams, whelks, scallops and oysters.
Taste also the delicious Norman recipes: Tripes a la mode de Caen, black pudding with apples, chitterlings from Vire ("andouille" in French), chicken sauce "Vallee d'Auge" (creamy cider sauce) and the "escalope normande" (creamy sauce with mushrooms), omelette de la Mere Poulard, and for sweet tooth: apple tart or Teurgoule (milky rice pudding with creamy local products).
SPORTS: the Norman generous nature enables the practice of many sports among which horse riding (the "regional" sport in this breeding earth), cycling, water sports, kayaking, trekking, ...
